30th Annual FCASD Telethon to Benefit Sharpsburg Community Library

Fox Chapel Area School District students will hold their 30th annual telethon from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019.

The telethon will raise money for the Sharpsburg Community Library. The telethon will involve students from all six schools in the Fox Chapel Area School District. Student, teacher, parent, and community representatives will be participating in the telethon by making donations during the live event, which can be viewed here.

The public is invited to make donations here

The telethon will be streamed live on the Swift Fox Media YouTube Channel. The link to the broadcast will be available on the district’s website and Facebook page.

The telethon is coordinated by the Fox Chapel Area High School Student Government and digital media production students, who plan and produce the event.

The Sharpsburg Community Library is a branch of the Cooper-Siegel Community Library and offers a full range of library services: computers for public use; new fiction; non-fiction; DVDs and books on CD; programs for adults, including art classes and book groups; and programs for children including story times, chess club, and STEAM programs.

The students in the Fox Chapel Area School District have donated more than $854,000 to various local and regional charities through their annual telethon over the last 29 years. Last year’s telethon for Make-A-Wish rasied $45,438.
