The Fox Chapel Area School District will be hosting a school safety summit on Thursday, August 15, 2019. The summit will be held from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Fox Chapel Area High School auditorium.

The daylong summit promises to be an incredible learning experience for school district leadership teams, as well as public safety professionals and first responders from throughout Western Pennsylvania.

The keynote speaker will be nationally acclaimed educator, author, and researcher Lt. Colonel Dave Grossman. Lt. Col. Grossman is a retired U.S. Army Ranger and a former West Point psychology professor who serves as the director of the Killology Research Group. His topic will be “Safe Schools and Healthy Students.”

Everyone will benefit from the crucial information that will be shared at this summit. In today’s society, school safety training is critical, not just for school employees, but also for those public safety professionals who would respond in the event of an emergency. This summit aims to be a place where everyone can learn the essentials of school safety and take back necessary knowledge to share with others in their organization.
