Elementary Schools Set Story Times for Incoming Kindergartners

All four elementary schools in the Fox Chapel Area School District are hosting in-person story times for incoming 2023-2024 kindergarten students and their parents/guardians. The program is designed to prepare all prospective kindergarten students for starting school during the 2023-2024 school year (age 5 on or by September 1, 2023).

The story times will enable the incoming students to become acquainted with their elementary school and to enjoy a story and activity with the kindergarten teachers, and parents/guardians will gain valuable information regarding school readiness and kindergarten registration. Children and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend all the story times offered at their prospective school.

• The Fairview Elementary School story times will be held at the school February 15, March 15, and April 19 from 2-3 p.m. 
• The Hartwood Elementary School story times will be held at the school February 15, March 15, and April 19 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. 
• The Kerr Elementary School story times will be held at the school February 16 and March 15 from 2-3 p.m. Incoming Kerr kindergartners and their parents are also encouraged to attend the Kerr Elementary 2023-2024 kindergarten family fun night that is scheduled to be held at the school April 20 from 5:30-7 p.m. 
• The O’Hara Elementary School story times for incoming students with last names beginning with A-L will be held at the school February 15, March 13, and April 20 from 2-3 p.m. Story times for incoming O’Hara students with last names beginning with M-Z will be held at the school February 16, March 14, and April 21 from 2-3 p.m.
