Registration Open for Fox Chapel Area Adult Education Classes

Registration is now open for Fox Chapel Area Adult Education’s fall classes. Since 1962, FCAAE has offered enrichment classes for adults in all communities. The fall schedule includes many returning favorites and more than two dozen new classes. Both one-night and multi-week
classes are available.

“FCAAE’s mission has always been to offer high-quality classes for all adults, no matter where they live,” says Executive Director Margaret Haas. “In a time when we all feel perpetually online, FCAAE provides a community where adults can come together, meet new people, and
learn something new.”

FCAAE continues to offer adults and families access to the Fox Chapel Area High School state-of-the-art, eight-lane pool. New this year is Aqua Dance on Tuesday evenings. Adults can register for lap swim, aqua exercise, and aqua jogging four days a week. Families can enjoy the pool on Sundays during recreational swim.

New fall classes cover a variety of topics including art, history, Bridge, cooking, and home
repair. Some of the new fall classes include:

  • Bridge: Is It Right for Me? on September 2
  • 3D Printing on September 14
  • Hand Quilting on September 22
  • Pittsburgh’s First Renaissance: 1945–1974 on October 1
  • Cake Decorating for Beginners on October 12

For students who want to learn from home, three online classes are available over Zoom with live instruction: Oil Painting, Chair TriYoga, and Fitness and Strength Training.
