Registration Open for Fox Chapel Area Adult Education Winter Classes
Since 1962, Fox Chapel Area Adult Education has offered high quality enrichment classes for adults throughout all of Western Pennsylvania. This winter, FCAAE continues to provide opportunities to learn, discover, and thrive.

Registration is now open for FCAAE’s winter classes. The winter catalog includes many returning favorites as well as new classes in art, history, and the outdoors. Both one-night and multi-week classes are available.

“FCAAE is truly a hidden gem,” says Executive Director Sue Goodwin. “It provides a way for adults to come together, meet new people, and learn something new. We welcome adults from all communities, not just from the Fox Chapel Area School District.”

FCAAE is also one of the few ways that adults and family can access the high school pool. Adults can register for lap swim and aqua exercise four days a week. Families can enjoy the pool on Sundays during recreational swim. There’s no better way for young children to burn off cabin fever than with some time in the water!

This winter, FCAAE is offering several new art classes:

  • Create an Ornament Wreath on 12/4
  • Jewelry: Enameling on Copper Sheet beginning 1/8
  • Pottery: Hand-Building Tumblers and Vases beginning 1/15
  • Watercolor with a Holiday Twist on 12/8

For students who don’t want to venture out in the cold, there are several online classes available via Zoom:

  • Armchair History and Travel: Western Pennsylvania on 2/2
  • At-Home Fitness and Strength Training for Men and Women beginning 12/8
  • Spanish for Beginners beginning 1/8
  • TriChair Yoga beginning 1/15
  • Winter Birding on 1/22
