FCASD Again Named Among Best Communities for Music Education

The Fox Chapel Area School District has been named among the 2026 Best Communities for Music Education for the 15th time.

Fox Chapel Area is one of 141 school districts in Pennsylvania and one of approximately 1,000 nationwide chosen for this honor. The distinction recognizes districts that demonstrate an exemplary dedication to music education and their ongoing efforts to ensure equitable access to music learning as part of a well-rounded education.

The districts were selected through a program sponsored by the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation, which honors districts for outstanding achievement in providing access to high-quality music education.

Recipients of the Best Communities for Music Education Awards were selected through a comprehensive application and review process that evaluates key indicators, including funding, instructional time, participation rates, facilities, and community support.

The NAMM Foundation is a nonprofit that works to remove systemic barriers that limit access to music-making and career pathways in the music industry. The group strives to build inclusive and thriving musical communities and invests in the future of music.
