Pair of FCAHS Students Win Award for Fall Play

Fox Chapel Area High School seniors Abigail Haas and Molly Krajcovic were named winners in the Prime Stage Theatre’s 6th Annual High School Drama Awards. Abigail and Molly won in the best student makeup design category for Fox Chapel Area High School’s 2025 fall play, “Our Town.”

“The High School Drama Awards is our way of looking to the future,” said Dr. Wayne Brinda, Prime Stage Theatre producing artistic director. “By encouraging these young actors and production specialists in their early efforts, we’re building a strong foundation for Pittsburgh theatre in years to come.”

“What makes these awards unique,” says Drama Awards Director and Prime Stage Theatre Board Member John Dolphin, “is that to be eligible, the students must be in a backstage leadership role or an onstage performance role. We encourage adult mentorship and assistance, but in the end, these productions are student-run.”

The Prime Stage Theatre’s drama awards were presented at a ceremony that was held January 10, 2026, at the Hillman Center for Performing Arts. The awards are open to schools from across Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The other Fox Chapel Area High School nominees for the awards were senior Robert Svenson in the best actor category, senior Grace Gouwens in the best actress category, sophomore Solomon Edwards in the best supporting actor category, senior Faye Muller in the best supporting actress category, senior Lily Cannon in the best student stage manager category, and juniors Erin Stein and Elias Zeiner in the best student sound design category. Fox Chapel Area’s fall play was also nominated for the best student-run onstage crew.
