FCAHS Orchestra Receives 'Superior' Rating

FCAHS Orchestra Receives 'Superior' Rating
The Fox Chapel Area High School Orchestra performed at Heinz Hall on March 16, 2026, for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Music Performance Assessment. A total of 75 members of the high school orchestra attended and played “Elegy” from John Ireland’s “Downland Suite” and “Praelude” from Edvard Grieg’s “Holberg Suite.” The Fox Chapel Area High School Orchestra received the highest rating, “Superior,” for their performance.
In addition to the adjudication, the students participated in a clinic with members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Associate Conductor Jacob Joyce.
