FCAHS & DMS Students Chosen for Allegheny Valley Honors Bands

Twenty-one Fox Chapel Area School District students were selected by audition to perform with the 2026 Allegheny Valley senior and junior high honors bands. Seventh- to 12th-grade student-musicians from the Avonworth, Fox Chapel Area, Hampton Township, North Allegheny, Northgate, North Hills, Pine-Richland, Riverview, and Shaler Area school districts auditioned for the groups, and approximately 200 were selected.

The students chosen from Fox Chapel Area are Fox Chapel Area High School senior Elliott Broyles (trombone); junior Nadre Digbohou (clarinet); sophomores Paulomi Goel (trombone) and Claire Lesnik (trumpet); and freshmen Isaac Chan (trumpet), Kaitlyn DiNatale (mallet percussion), Celestial Hou (piccolo), Roman Johnston (alto saxophone), Holden Link (trombone), Delaney Liu (flute), and Zoey Liu (flute). The students chosen from Dorseyville Middle School are eighth-graders Shengfeng Fei (clarinet), Georgia Graves (trombone), Beatrix Kiger (French horn), Christine Meskel (tuba), David Neilan (clarinet), and Charles Wang (French horn); and seventh-graders Reid Bushnell (clarinet), Ellie Huh (clarinet), Christina Randtke (flute), and Marisa Wesaratchakit (tenor saxophone). 

The Allegheny Valley Honors Band Festival was held January 28 and 29 at North Allegheny Senior High School and culminated with a public concert January 29. The conductors were Dr. Arris Golden, the assistant director of bands and the associate director of the Spartan Marching Band at Michigan State University, and Captain David Regner, the commander and conductor of the United States Air Force Band of the West.
