DMS Students Selected to PMEA District 1 Junior High Chorus

DMS Students Selected to PMEA District 1 Junior High Chorus
Dorseyville Middle School eighth-graders Owen Ewing and Cora Good were selected to perform with the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 1 Junior High Chorus. The chorus featured 150 seventh- through ninth-grade students from more than 60 schools from Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. The festival was held at Mt. Lebanon High School on February 27, 2026, and culminated with a concert. The festival guest conductor was Dr. Ethan Murphy, an assistant professor of choral music education at Duquesne University.
Both Owen and Cora are active in the DMS choral program, participating in the DMS Honor Choir and serving on the choir council for the past three years.
