It’s a READ ACROSS AMERICA celebration at Kerr Elementary School! Please JOIN US as we honor Dr. Seuss’s upcoming birthday and celebrate our love of reading!

We invite you to participate in the following activities being held throughout the week of February 25th – March 1st, 2018:

February 25th - “Marvelous Monday”
Read Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
Dr. Seuss encourages us to take a journey to follow our dreams. Wear something to school that has the
name of a city, state, or special place you’ve visited.

February 26th - “Top-of-the-Hat Tuesday”
Read The Cat in the Hat
One of Dr. Seuss’s famous characters is known for his silly hat. Wear your favorite hat to school today!

February 27th - “Wacky Wednesday”
Read Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?
Dr. Seuss was extremely creative! Show us how creative you can be as you plan a wacky outfit for
today. (All dress code rules apply; however, feel free to wear clothes inside-out, backwards,
mismatched, etc.)

February 28th - “Thing 1 & Thing 2 Thursday”
Read The Cat in the Hat Comes Back.
Thing 1 & Thing 2 are twins. Plan and wear a “Twinning” outfit with friends OR wear red, white, and black.

March 1st - “Footsy Friday”
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. SEUSS!!
Read Fox in Socks and/or The Foot Book.
Dr. Seuss would love to see you wearing your wild and crazy socks to school today! No need to have them match… Do you think Dr. Seuss’s would???

Read Happy Birthday to You!
Dr. Seuss’s books are filled with amazing characters. Dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character or another favorite book character! (All dress code rules apply.)
