FC's Got Talent - April 25
Fox Chapel Area High School students will vie for a top prize of $300 in the “Fox Chapel’s Got Talent” show at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in the Fox Chapel Area High School (FCAHS) auditorium. The show is open to the public and all proceeds go directly to the FCAHS PTO, a nonprofit organization that raises funds for the benefit of the school and students, supporting programs that enhance and enrich student life.
Fox Chapel’s Got Talent follows the format of the reality television series, “America’s Got Talent.” Contestants will perform on stage and a panel of three judges will critique each act. Judges will include Brian Worsdale, music director of the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra; jazz vocalist Tania Grubbs; and a surprise Fox Chapel Area High School senior student judge. Acts performed by FCAHS students will include a band, vocal/instrumentals with piano/guitar, vocal solos and duets, a magic act, and a poetry performance. Following the 15 acts, the judges will choose three winning acts. First prize is $300, second prize is $200, and third prize is $100.
Audience raffle prizes will also be drawn that include two four-hour recording sessions from Tonic Recording Studios, tickets to the FCAHS 2019 Prom and FCAHS 2019 Homecoming, a temporary FCAHS student parking pass (rules apply), two Pittsburgh Public Theatre tickets, and two activity wristbands for Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Raffle prizes will also include gift cards from the show’s community supporters such as Il Pizzaiolo, Andora Restaurant, Hartwood Restaurant & Whispers Pub, Walnut Grill, Ichiban, Aspinwall Beans ‘N’ Cream, Caliente Pizza & Drafthouse, Aldi, Zone 28, Jimmy Wan’s, Thai Place, Gino Brothers Pizzeria, Paris 66, Gaby et Jules Patisseries et Macarons, Atria’s, Italian Village Pizza, Dragon Palace, Coffee Tree Roasters, Mad Mex, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Eat’n Park, and Oakmont Bakery, as well as two tickets to the Pittsburgh Zoo, MovieScoop Waterworks Cinema tickets, and AMC Waterfront 22 Cinema tickets.
Tickets will be sold at the door and the cost is $7 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Fox Chapel Area High School is located at 611 Field Club Road in O’Hara Township.
