Seniors Named Winners in C-SPAN's National StudentCam Contest
Three Fox Chapel Area High School students were recently named winners in a national contest. Seniors Lauren Copeland, Alaina Kotchey, and Adina Munin received an honorable mention in C-SPAN’s 2019 StudentCam competition. StudentCam is C-SPAN’s annual national video documentary contest that encourages students to think critically about issues that affect our communities and our nation. The Fox Chapel Area students created a short documentary entitled, “The Freedom and Choice to Use Your Voice,” and the theme was “What Does it Mean to be American?”. The winners were announced March 13 during C-SPAN’s morning call-in program, “Washington Journal.” The contest was open to students in grades six-12 from across the nation.
