Students Place in Pittsburgh Diocesan Tournament
Five Fox Chapel Area High School students recently placed in their events at the Pittsburgh Diocesan Qualifying Tournament for the National Catholic Forensic League Grand National Championship Tournament.
The team of junior Rajeev Godse and sophomore Jackson Romero won first place in Policy Debate, and the Duo Interpretation team of senior Vaishavi Agrawal and junior Hanna Chen won second place. All four of these students have advanced to represent the Pittsburgh Diocese at the Grand National Championship Tournament Memorial Day weekend, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Additionally, junior Jackson Boychuk was a finalist at the tournament and placed 10th overall in the region.
The Pittsburgh Diocese Catholic Forensic League national-qualifying tournament was held March 2, 2019, at Fort Couch Middle School in the Upper St. Clair School District. Approximately 200 students from 18 high schools from the Pittsburgh region participated in the tournament.
