High School Students Compete at State TSA Conference
Several Fox Chapel Area High School students recently won awards at the Pennsylvania Technology Student Association (TSA) State Leadership Conference which was held April 18-21, 2018, at the Seven Springs Conference Center. The Fox Chapel Area first place winners were seniors Nathan VanDemark and Jorgen Wu and sophomore Aaron Wu. Additional Fox Chapel Area finalists earning fourth-tenth places were: seniors Anita Bargaje and Karissa Becer; sophomores Shando Naini and Jake Sperry; and freshmen Luke Johnson, John Polcyn, Anthony Shin, Michael VanDemark, and Victor Yang.
Founded in 1978, TSA is the only student organization devoted exclusively to the needs of students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The TSA supports STEM-education goals through high school and middle school competitions, as well as leadership and teamwork activities for students.
