Overview
Fox Chapel Area School District is proud to support the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. The district is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment that eases the transition for students experiencing frequent relocations due to military service. Through student support programs, and family-focused resources, Fox Chapel Area is working to ensure that every military-connected student feels seen, supported, and valued. This effort reflects the district’s broader commitment to inclusion, community, and honoring the service and sacrifice of military families.
Board Policy 254 - Educational Opportunity for Military Children
The Board recognizes the challenges encountered by children of military families due to the frequent moves and deployment of their parents/guardians. The Board is committed to eliminating barriers to student attendance, education and graduation; and to providing additional supports to children of military families in compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and Board policy.
