Senior Jessica Jing McCann was named a Finalist and received a Silver Award in the Design Arts category, and sophomore Sloane Simon received an honorable mention in the Voice: Singer-Songwriter category.

FCAHS Senior Selected to National Honors Band
Joey Wang was chosen for the honor by audition and based on his selection to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Band.

3 Chosen for All-Eastern Honors Ensembles
The ensembles consist of a symphonic band, orchestra, mixed chorus, treble chorus and jazz ensemble.

13 Students Selected to Allegheny Valley Honors Bands
Although a concert was unable to be held this year due to the pandemic, all of the students selected were mentioned in a special recognition program and received medals and certificates.

The purpose of the Model UN conferences is to enable students to role-play and simulate the countries in the United Nations.

FCAHS Students Win Awards at Regional FBLA Competition
Some will compete at the state conference in the spring.

FCAHS Student Wins Youth Mental Health Leadership Award
The award is given to a young person who is a change-leader in the areas of mental health education and is instrumental in shifting conversations about mental health from negative to positive.

Fox Chapel Area Students Win Scholastic Art and Writing Awards
The regional award winners were selected by a panel of distinguished judges which included artists, art educators, and art professionals.

FCAHS Publications Take First Place in National Awards
The 2019-2020 literary arts magazine “Tapestry” received a first-place national award. The high school’s newspaper, “Fox Tales Quarterly,” was also named a first-place national winner for the fall 2020 issue.

FCAHS Librarian Chosen for State Leadership Institute
Through her participation in the Leadership Institute, Dr. Laura Ward will receive professional development, training, and strategic planning guidance on issues surrounding the topics of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

FCAHS Students Named Candidates in Presidential Scholars Program
Inclusion in the Presidential Scholars Program, begun in 1964, is one of the nation’s highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors.
