Drivers' Education Classes |
 | Rogers School of Driving will be offering a drivers’ education class at the Fox Chapel Area High School. The class will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 13, 2008 through June 12, 2008, in room 131 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Upon successful completion of both the classroom and behind-the-wheel phases the student will receive a certificate that may qualify the student for insurance discounts ranging from 10% to 20% up until the ages of 21 to 25 depending on the insurance carrier. The certificate also makes the student eligible to obtain a senior license at age 17-1/2 as opposed to waiting until the age of 18. | |

"Pittsburghers Who Make a Difference" |
Fox Chapel Area High School is hosting a presentation on May 16th featuring, “Pittsburghers Who Make a Difference.” Three important men and women from the Pittsburgh area will be making presentations to Fox Chapel Area High School students. Topics discussed will include their careers and community service, education or special training, influences on their careers, and the many ways they contribute to Pittsburgh.
 The May 16 panel presentation will include: •Dr. Pilar Fish – Director of Veterinary Services and Animal Programs of the National Aviary; •Mary Lee Gannon – President and CEO of Forbes Health Foundation; and •Richard Wolk – CEO and Founder of RJW Media.
The May 16 panel presentations will be held in the Fox Chapel Area High School large group instruction room from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. All residents of the Fox Chapel Area School District are invited to attend any of the presentations, but seating is limited.
