During 2008-2009 the technology department began to review the Technology Plan as part of a 3 year revision and updating of the Strategic Plan. The district’s technology committee established a sub-committee to revise the plan. Parents, students, community members, and administrators on the technology sub-committee have provided input into the revised three year technology plan (2009-2012). The district has had great success addressing the goals found in the strategic plan. (Evaluating the Plan)

In addition, the district resource staff began to look at the multitude of technology-related initiatives in the district. (see chart) The analysis of existing programs will be used to help develop the next CIP plan.

1. •Develop a plan to provide 24/7 support for necessary services. The district will investigate hosting its web server and email server in a data center with 24/7 services.
   

2. •Develop a 3 year plan for upgrade of the technology infrastructure, technology services (including maintenance), and hardware and software for each building in the district.
