Students Place in Regional FBLA Competition/Qualify for States

Several Fox Chapel Area High School students recently competed in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Regional Leadership Conference and 61 placed and qualified for the state competition. Fox Chapel Area first place regional winners included: seniors Kathryn Kenney, Sophia Lee, Victor Marculescu, Tim Marsh, Tanvi Meringenti, Brooke Stillion, and Jerett Zaleski; juniors Emilia Bianchini, Margaret Edgecombe, Toby Lazear, Elena Liberto, Ryan Santilli, Alexa Selwood, Lucy Stone, and Ryan Weinberger; sophomores Vaishavi Agrawal, Jayanth Kashyap, Jared Nord, Robert Shymansky, and Zachary Yonas; and freshmen Rajeev Godse and Jonathan Rodrigues. Second place regional winners were: seniors Grace Mueller and Juliette Naugle; junior Jordan Taxay; sophomores Abigail Baldauf, Justin Breen, Noah Fritsch, Matthew Good, Meredith Kenney, Michael Kilmer, Jessica Michel, Jessica Paper, and Gina Wang; and freshman Jackson Boychuk. Third place regional winners were: seniors Rohan Chalasani and Yelim Lee; juniors Anita Bargaje, Benjamin Kronman, Braddock Lalor, and Kurran Singh; sophomores Jonah Green, Arnav Gupta, Sanjana Harish, Ryan Kerr, and Nishika Mohnot; and freshmen Aaron Santilli and Benjamin Schwartz. Fourth place regional winners were: juniors Christopher Bonavita, Jocelyn Eckenrode, Claudia Guerrieri, Scott Hastings, and Shane Krhovsky; sophomores Elizabeth Kaslewicz and Noah Marks; and freshman Shane Susnak. Fifth place regional winners were: juniors Fallon Curry and Tanvi Yendi; sophomores Daniel Andrud and Kristen Friday; and freshman Christiana Paljug. All of these students have qualified to participate at the state-level Future Business Leaders of America Conference that will be held in Hershey, Pennsylvania, April 3-5, 2017.

The Future Business Leaders of America Regional Leadership Competition was held in November 2016. Approximately 600 students from schools from across Western Pennsylvania participated in the regional competition.
