Literacy Center visits PNC Park |
Thirty-two Fox Chapel Area families (as well as volunteers and staff members) attended a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park July 21, 2010! The evening was organized by Kenda Hammer, director of the Fox Chapel Area School District Family Literacy Center. The Pittsburgh Pirates played the Milwaukee Brewers.
It turned out to be a spectacular night when the Pirates' bats were as hot as the fireworks that exploded following each of the three homeruns they hit. All fans that attended witnessed an exciting 15-3 Pirates victory over the Brewers!
A special thanks to Tickets for Kids and the Pirates organization. All 130 who registered and attended were treated to a stunning view of the Pittsburgh skyline and rivers to make it a remarkable evening!
